Hello. My aunt recently underwent radiation treatment for an inoperable brain tumor, which did not shrink or reduce the size of the tumor. The neurosurgeon stated this is no cause for alarm, but we will have to monitor her for the next few years. He stated that she will eventually begin to have symptoms, but cannot provide a specified amount of time as to when these symptoms may occur. Has anyone out there gone through this type of agony? She has had dizzy spells only. It’s a grade I tumor, but may or may not develop into a grade II or III. Has anyone had an alternative treatment? Gammaknife? Actual surgery? Please let me know what type of meningioma, treatment, and steps you went through after radiation. Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate any comfort.
