My dad had a 9 cm meningioma brain tumor removed on 9-4-08. After the surgery his vision was blurry. He was put on cortosteroids for the swelling in his brain and his vision got slightly better. once the steriods were stopped his vision got worse again. he is not completely blind, but says everything looks dark. He was seen by an eye doctor who confirmed that there was nothing wrong with his eyes and had a CT scan after the surgery so we know that his brain and optic nerve were not damaged. Other than the vision problems he is doing really well. We are told that his vision problems are caused by brain swelling which wiill eventually go down and his vision will come back. Does anyone know how long it takes for the swelling to go down??? Or why all of his other problems have gone away and the vision problem still lingers?
