Brain surgery aftermath?

I had surgery about a year and a half ago to remove a benign meningioma from my right temporal lobe. The surgery went just great, and I healed pretty quickly. But I get incredible headaches where my skull was sawn and put back together. The worst spot is in my right eyebrow. Ow! I’m getting pain on the side of my head right now! How long does this pain in the skull usually last?
What about memory? My memory is not too good a lot of the time. I went to pick up my son recently. I had been up and down that road thousands of times in my life, but all of a sudden I couldn’t remember where he lived. It took about twenty minutes before I remembered.
I also can’t write. I thought it was bad enough when I always wrote the wrong numeral. If I try to write 63, for example, I might start with the three or even a numeral that’s not even in the number. But now it’s even worse. I was trying to spell “Road”. The first letter was a 9.
Is this going to get any better, or am I about where I’m going to stay? I’d like to hear from brain surgery survivors. Thanks!
